I love this idea. Alyce at Home with Books hosts a Saturday Snapshot, in which you can post a beloved picture taken by yourself, a friend or family member (not randomly found on the Web). Then, simply visit Alyce at Home with Books and post a link there to your photo.
Last week, I drove to one of our work sites (I work for a healthcare agency) and parked the car and … there was this sign in the back garden of an apartment house.

About Aine Greaney
I'm an Irish writer living in greater Boston. I've published four books--two novels, a small collection of short stories and a how-to writing book, "Writer with a Day Job" (Writers Digest Books). I've also published lots of short stories, essays and feature articles.
My latest project, "What Brought You Here" is a non-fiction narrative about being an expatriate in America.
Find me on Twitter @ainegreaney. Or at my author web page, www.ainegreaney.com.
As well as creative writing, I am the communications director for a healthcare non-profit. I also lead creative writing workshops at various libraries, schools and arts programs. At my workshops, I've been inspired by lots of wonderful writers--most of whom work a day job!
Huh. Kind of makes you want to know more, doesn’t it?
We had someone put a sign up like that at a house right next to a construction site and eventually the builders bought the house so they didn’t have to deal with the bad publicity. Ironically, it’s been eight years and the construction on that building is still not done (and the city is trying to reclaim the property).
Alyce,
That’s fascinating. Hmmm… I did a rapid “google” search, and this bad guy here in Massachusetts seem to own some kind of auto supply place–if it’s the right fellow. I just thought it was an interesting way to get your point across. Hurrah for democracy.
haha, nice! I would want to know the story behind that!
Hi Kailana and Cheryl,
Yes, I have been fascinated by what might have happened. You never know what surprises you’ll see when out and about.
Yes, wouldn’t that make a great title for a book! Intriguing. We’d all want to read that.
